Photography and imagery

NTWRK uses no photography today. The visual evidence is figures, records and charts. This page holds the direction for when photography is needed. The direction is approved in v1.0; the shoot itself is pending Wes. See the Photography brief.

01Order of preference

  1. A figure built from the system (diagram, chart, record). See Diagrams and Data-viz.
  2. A real artefact: a screenshot of a report, runbook or decision record, with client permission and data removed.
  3. Photography of real people and places in NTWRK’s work, only when a person or place is the point (author bio, event).

02Photography direction

Do

Real, quiet, specific

Natural light, real workplaces, people doing the work. Muted colour that sits on cream. One subject. Captioned with who and where.

Don’t

Stock and AI clichés

Glowing networks, robots, brains, hands on holographic screens, handshake stock, generated faces, neon gradients.

03Treatment

  1. Photographs sit in a 10px-radius frame on cream, never full-bleed behind text.
  2. No text over photographs. Captions go below in mono 14px.
  3. No colour overlays or duotones in Forest.

04Generated imagery: OG and social cards

The OG card is the main brand image in circulation. It is type on ink with a Forest rule. See Social and OG cards.
